On a rare, sunny day in Manchester, we were called to a house in Oldham to provide concrete for a driveway. The drive had been set out expertly with formwork. A good, solid sub base had been put in and flattened with a whacker plate. The truck was able to pull up 1 meter away from the drive and the lads could easily barrow our freshly batched concrete to the desired location. As a result of good measurements by the clients, the job took the exact same amount as was ordered. Due to the versatility of our volumetric trucks, we were able to change to last few wheel barrows to a stiffer mix so that the client could form a slight ramp for the drive.
