Garage base in Adel

By July 11, 2017Case Studies, Leeds

An elderly gentleman had ordered 2m³ of concrete for his garage base, being constructed at the bottom of his garden. Unfortunately, the weather hadn’t been kind to us in the week leading up to the delivery and his garden was waterlogged in places. It would have been impossible for our operatives to push 160kg wheelbarrows through the garden as they would have sank and so a solution was needed. The lads noticed a number of boards at the side of the customer’s house and managed to construct a walkway that enabled them to get to the site where the garage would be standing. The customer in question had insured that the formwork had been installed and a level, compacted subbase had been prepared prior to our arrival so the job was relatively straight forward after that – despite the garden being quite long and uphill from our truck.

The homeowner was very happy with our prompt service and made a point of ringing to sing the praises of our professional, tidy operatives – something that everyone is pleased to hear.
